                        Daimler Truck tests hydrogen-based drive
Daimler Truck has reached its next milestone on the road to sustainable transport, now also including hydrogen-based drives.
A Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck fuel-cell prototype has been undergoing intensive testing since last year – both on the in-house test track and on public roads.
Now, Daimler Truck is putting another prototype into operation to test the use of liquid hydrogen. A newly installed prototype filling station at the development and testing centre in Wörth (Germany) enables to refuel trucks with liquid hydrogen.
Daimler Truck recently celebrated the first successful liquid hydrogen (LH2) refuelling of the truck in partnership with Air Liquide. (ben)
