Dakar Air Cargo launches first freighter operation
Senegal’s first dedicated cargo airline, Dakar Air Cargo, launched its operations after the arrival of its ATR 72-500F at Dakar’s Blaise Diagne airport (DSS) on 6 June.
The aircraft completed a ferry flight from Warsaw, marking the start of a project designed to strengthen regional logistics and e-commerce in West Africa.
The 100% Senegalese initiative aims to improve supply chains, boost medical logistics, and connect remote areas. With a vision to position Dakar as a regional freight hub, the company plans to support sovereign logistics and economic resilience.
