Davies Turner picks head of ocean services

150 years old freight forwarding services company Davies Turner has chosen a new head of ocean freight services.

Tony Cole (photo) follows Kieron Larkin, who is to lead a strategic review of the company’s computer systems and software that support all freight forwarding operations. Both executives assumed their new positions at the beginning of November.

Since he joined the company as ocean import manager in 1990, Cole’s responsibilities have included, for example, the position of head of supply chain services, where he played an essential role in the launch and further development of Davies Turner’s direct weekly express China rail consol services in 2018.

Phillip Stephenson, Davies Turner chairman, said that Cole has “a strong sales and operational record in ocean freight forwarding and international logistics.” (amh)
