Delivering pallets even through tight alleyways

The ‘Hop On’, a tiny electric delivery vehicle made by Carit Automotive, from Münster (Germany), has been authorised for road operations by Germany’s Kraftfahrtbundesamt, the federal motor transport authority, for transport in urban traffic areas.

The fully electric four-wheel vehicle has a payload of 250 kg and a range of 90 km. It was developed especially for CEP service providers for last-mile deliveries.

In the classic version, the dimensions of the loading area correspond to a standard European pallet; in the longer version, two of these pallets can be transported.

The vehicle’s steering wheel can be folded up; with a width then of only 84 cm, it can easily be taken along in any van. (ben)
