Delivering vital medicines to Pakistan
Virgin Atlantic is joining hands with Bestway Group to deliver medicines to the victims of the humanitarian crisis in Pakistan.
Shipments consisting of over 20 t of vital medicines will be distributed to victims of the recent flooding disaster and resulting humanitarian emergency in the worst affected areas of southern Pakistan provinces of Baluchistan and Sindh.
The medicines, donated by Bestway Group, one of the largest privately owned businesses in UK and a major overseas investor in Pakistan, were flown to Islamabad by Virgin Atlantic Cargo. Virgin Atlantic’s dedicated special climate control vehicles transferred the medicines from the company’s cargo handling facility at London Heathrow. (ah)
