Dematic automating distribution for Turkish retailer
Dematic is set to automate the Turkish retailer Eren Perakende’s new distribution centre in Istanbul (Turkey) by Q2/2026. The solution includes Dematic’s ‘multishuttle’ system, pocket sorter and integrated conveyor technology, all controlled by Dematic’s warehouse software connected to SAP.
This fully automated setup will process up to 250,000 t of goods a year and handle 4,000 load movements an hour. It enables faster and more accurate order fulfilment, while reducing manual labour.
Eren Perakende, which sells brands including Burberry and Nautica, aims to raise its digital sales from 25% to 35% with this investment.
Dematic’s partners ILA and SDZ are involved in implementing and integrating the scheme. The new system is designed to meet growing demand, reduce costs and address labour shortages, positioning Eren Perakende for future supply chain flexibility.
