Department heads for USA and Russia

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has announced changes within its executive team: Katsumi Nagata, currently chief country representative of United States of America, will be promoted to chief executive representative of North America, Central America and Caribbean; and Kenji Yokoi, currently chief country representative of Russia, will be promoted to chief executive representative of Europe, Africa. Both will take up their new roles from 1 April 2021.

The Tokyo-headquartered multimodal transport group looks to enhance its ability to gather and analyse information, including key national economic data, as it strives to develop new businesses in the US market, having already expanded its base in the USA and set up a business in the automobile industry. In addition, MOL has participated in the Arctic LNG project as one of the pioneering corporations on the Russia/Arctic Route project. As the company sees the USA and Russia as “key strategic nations”, other changes in the executive team were made on 1 January 2021, and more will follow on 1 April 2021. (amh)
