Deugro delivers CCU cargo
Deugro has successfully delivered critical cargo units for the world’s first large-scale carbon capture and utilisation facility (CCU) in the German cement industry.
Located at a cement plant in Triefenstein-Lengfurt am Main, the project, built by Linde Engineering, aims to capture 70,000 t of CO₂ annually. It is scheduled to begin operations later in 2025.
Deugro transported four 75 t tanks from Turkey and a 180 t heat exchanger from Germany. The final 2 km leg from the inland port in Lengfurt posed the greatest challenge, due to narrow village roads, steep gradients and 90° turns.
"Thanks to the excellent and professional cooperation with the client and all partners, all components arrived safely and in time at the construction plant,” said Deugro project manager Florian Lumperda." (js)
