DFDS performing in most regions
Despite the geopolitical circumstances, DFDS’ cargo volumes showed an 11% increase in May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Higher volumes were recorded in all business units and regions, except the Baltic Sea.
In the English Channel, DFDS took advantage of P&O Ferries' forced suspension of services for most of the month. Volumes in the Mediterranean network were also on the rise, supported by higher capacity.
However, the war in Ukraine had its impact on traffic in the Baltic Sea. Volumes between mainly Germany and Lithuania declined in comparison to May 2021. (sh)
