DHL marks GoHelp anniversary

DHL is celebrating 20 years of its 'GoHelp' disaster management programme, which has supported relief efforts in 77 disaster zones and handled around 70,000 t of humanitarian aid, as the company reported. 'GoHelp' integrates logistics expertise into emergency response through two pillars – the 'Disaster Response Teams' (DRT) and the 'Get Airports Ready for Disaster' initiative (Gard), developed with UN OCHA.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, DHL delivered 2 billion vaccine doses to more than 175 countries. In 2025, DHL launched the 'Academy of Humanitarian Logistics' to strengthen local capacities through training and digital modules. Around 1,000 trained volunteers can be deployed worldwide within 72 hours. (js)
