DHL restarts US parcels
DHL group’s post & parcel Germany division is resuming postal parcel shipments of goods from Germany to the USA and Puerto Rico for business customers. Services restart on 25 September, following a four-week suspension triggered by US customs regulations under the Executive Order 'Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for all Countries'. According to its own information DHL is among the first postal operators worldwide to restore the option of using DHL Paket international for US-bound goods, in addition to DHL Express.
To comply with the new framework, DHL has introduced the 'Postal delivered duty paid' (Pddp) service for shipments up to USD 800 in value. Accurate and complete customs data are mandatory. Business customers must now cover customs clearance and duties. (js)
