Direct train link between Zeebrugge and Duisburg

A new regular freight train has been launched between the Cosco-Shipping-Ports Zeebrugge Terminal (CSP) in Belgium and the port of Duisburg in Germany. Duisport agency (dpa), a subsidiary of duisport, is in charge of operating the link.

Now that the new hinterland connection has been established, Cosco will create the necessary logistics infrastructure in the port of Duisburg so that it can organise the further transport of the goods “from door to door” within the region on its own, duisport writes.

Only recently, the Chinese shipping company expanded its activities within the framework of the “belt & road” initiative by introducing two weekly sea freight services between China and the port of Zeebrugge. (ben)
