DP World digitalises Kenya customs

DP world has signed an agreement with Kenya’s electronic citizen solutions (eCitizen) to introduce its 'Cargoes' customs platform via the government’s main services portal. The deal, signed in Nairobi, will give importers, exporters and licensed agents access to digital systems for customs declarations as DP world reported.

"Our partnership with eCitizen marks a major step forward in making trade in Kenya faster and more secure," said Mahmood AlBastaki, COO of digital trade solutions at DP world. The platform also aims to strengthen the Kenya revenue authority’s customs department, offering AI-powered risk management and tools to improve inspections, compliance and revenue collection.
