DP World expands hub infrastructure in Romania

With the opening of three facilities on one day last Wednesday (15 May 2024), the port and terminal operator improves the links between its existing sea, rail, barge, and truck services in Romania, boosting the movement of goods between mainland Europe to the Black, North and Adriatic Seas.

Constanta, the container port on the Black Sea, is now home to two new facilities: a terminal for heavy, large, and complex cargo, and a ro-ro terminal that will handle up to 80,000 vehicles per year. An intermodal logistics hub has come on stream in Aiud, connecting rail and road networks. DP World also plans to inaugurate a multi-transport platform in Constanta in 2025. (ben)
