DP World launches Atlas service

DP World has introduced its Atlas service, transforming the logistics of fresh produce between Morocco, the UK and Europe. The service, which departs from Agadir, connects key farming regions with DP World terminals in London and Antwerp, ensuring faster delivery of fresher produce at lower costs. By shifting 150,000 t of fresh produce annually from road to sea, the Atlas service achieves carbon emissions reductions of up to 70%, equating to a drop of 250 kg CO2 per t-km.

Utilising DP World's Unifeeder vessels and new refrigerated containers, the service ensures quality during transit. With fixed berthing windows and dedicated facilities, it offers efficiency for exporters and guarantees day-certain arrivals. The Atlas service aims to support Morocco's growing position as a leading supplier of high-quality fruits and vegetables to European markets, promoting sustainable growth within the agricultural sector and benefiting local farmers.
