DSV expands Shanghai Star route
DSV has broadened its Shanghai Star airfreight charter route, connecting Asia directly to Latin America via Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD). This expansion enhances the global express network's capacity, offering flexible, high-value air cargo solutions with significantly reduced transit times compared to traditional lanes. The partnership with RFD, a top 20 US cargo airport, provides a congestion-free gateway to key markets in North, Central and South America, including destinations such as Bogota, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.
Launched in May 2025, Shanghai Star initially linked the US Midwest with Shanghai and Incheon, now extending to Latin America and positioning DSV to better serve complex global supply chains across three continents. Stephanie Penarete, VP of Air Product, emphasised that this strategic move enhances DSV's ability to meet increasing demand for reliable, time-sensitive and emergency cargo solutions in today's evolving economy, reinforcing DSV's commitment to sustainable, efficient logistics worldwide.
