Ducat marks 300th rice shipment to West Africa
Ducat Maritime has completed its 300th rice shipment to West Africa, reinforcing its position in South–South food trade. The milestone cargo, carried by the 55,803 dwt 'MV Rishabh' included 45,500 t of white rice —12,200 t in bulk, the rest bagged — that was en route from Ko Sichang (Thailand) to a series of ports, including Pointe-Noire and Douala.
CEO Adrian Beciri highlighted Ducat’s role in price stability, food security and regional supply resilience. The company, active since 2016, has moved over 15 million t of rice, including the first delivery to Nigeria after a decade.
Headquartered in Cyprus, the shipping line continues to expand its logistics footprint along critical Asia–Africa trade corridors. (ah)
