E-commerce giant looking for partners in India
The Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is searching for partners in India. The company has already talked to a number of start-ups before making a foray into India. Now it seems that Paytm, its biggest investment in India, is to be its main partner.
According to experts, Alibaba has discussed alliances with several online marketplaces, including Snapdeal and Shopclues. It has also held discussions with business-to-business players, logistics companies, and technology start-ups. India is a focus market for Alibaba and it plans to take on Amazon when it enters.
