Eafo: Germany heads HDV charging rollout
The European alternative fuels observatory (Eafo) has published its first dataset on public recharging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) across the EU27. The data mark the start of monthly updates supporting EU monitoring under the Alternative fuels infrastructure regulation (Afir). The initial release identifies 1,512 public HDV recharging stations: 1,369 in mixed-use sites and 143 exclusively serving HDVs.
Germany leads with 479 stations, followed by Sweden (278), the Netherlands (246), Denmark (158) and France (101). The data are accessible on Eafo’s country comparison page and will be integrated into the 'TEN-Tec interactive map viewer', showing precise station locations. (js)
