East Timor port goes to Bollore

The bidding is over. East Timor’s authorities opted for the Bolloré Group to build and operate the deepwater port of Dili under a public-private partnership agreement. The concession has been granted for 30 years.

The heart of the project is the construction of a 630 m wharf with a 15 m depth of water alongside and a 24 ha yard. The port facility will be equipped with container and general cargo handling equipment for containerships up to 7,500 teu.

The scheme will create over 350 direct jobs and enable new businesses to set up in the future port zone. Ports are a key sector for the Bolloré Group with 21 concessions worldwide, including 15 in Africa.
