EcoNavis secures UK funding

EcoNavis Solutions, a maritime technology spin-out from the University of Strathclyde, has secured GBP 300,000 from the UK’s ‘Innovate UK ICURe Exploit programme’, “to support the commercialisation of university research,” as the company reported.

The phased funding reimburses 100% of project costs, including staff, business development and customer engagement. The Glasgow-based start-up has already drawn GBP 55,000 and stated it is using the investment alongside matched funding to grow its team and accelerate commercialisation.

EcoNavis has also joined Glasgow’s ‘Smart Things Accelerator Centre’, gaining structured support and office space for an 18-month scale-up programme. (js)
