Electric lift for Italy’s ports
Liebherr has delivered four new mobile harbour cranes to Italy, further expanding its presence across key ports. Two electrically driven LHM 550 units are heading to IPM Bari to handle grain for the regional food industry, while La Nuova Meccanica Navale in Naples adds an LHM 420 for heavy shipyard lifts. Interporto Rivers Venezia will also receive an electric LHM 420 for bulk and scrap operations at Porto Marghera.
All cranes combine high lifting capacities with energy-efficient e-drive technology for locally emission-free operation. Supported by service partner Mac Port, Liebherr continues to equip Italian terminals with reliable, future-ready handling solutions tailored to diverse port operations. (ah)
