Emirates: four continents, three launches, one day
Emirates' expansion is reaching new heights this month with the launch of flights to Clark (Philippines), the inauguration of a route between Milan (Italy) and New York (USA), and a brand new A380 service to Brisbane (Australia) – all on 1 October 2013 in four different continents.
First to take off from Dubai International was a Boeing B777-200LR, bound for Clark, followed by a B777-300ER bound for Milan, where it stopped before embarking on a brand new transatlantic connection to New York. Next in line was Brisbane, the airline's 22nd A380 destination.
After launching Warsaw (Poland), Algiers (Algeria), Tokyo Haneda (Japan) and Stockholm (Sweden) so far in 2013, the airline is preparing for the start of services to Conakry (Guinea), Sialkot (Pakistan), Kabul (Afghanistan), Kiev (Ukraine), Taipei (Taiwan) and Boston (USA) in the coming months.
