Emirates offering unique A380 flight to Vienna
To mark the tenth anniversary of Emirates’ Vienna–Dubai service, the UAE-based carrier will offer one flight between the two cities with an Airbus A380 in May. It will be the first scheduled landing of an A380 in the history of Vienna airport.
The one-off A380 flight EK125 departs Dubai at 17.15 on 26 May 2014 and will land in Vienna at 21.10. On the return leg Emirates’ flagship (flight EK8126) will leave the Austrian capital at 00.20 on 27 May and arrive in Dubai at 08.00 the same day.
The Airbus A380 is able to transport more than 500 passengers, as well as belly cargo. Emirates has been flying to Austria since May 2004. Since that date the number of flights has risen from four per week to 13. Boeing 777-300ERs are normally deployed on the route.
