Emirates' permanent humanitarian commitment

Nabil Sultan (left), Emirates’ divisional senior vice-president of cargo, and Giuseppe Saba, CEO of International Humanitarian City (IHC), one of the world’s largest hubs for humanitarian aid, have signed an MoU to cooperate on humanitarian logistics and crisis relief solutions.

The long-term partnership between Emirates and IHC, both based in Dubai, has seen cooperation during the Covid-19 pandemic and underlines Dubai’s position as an international gateway for the rapid deployment of aid and relief efforts in humanitarian crises.

The partners are set to develop innovative logistics solutions for effective crisis relief operations together. IHC will also approach Emirates SkyCargo as the carrier of first resort for the transport of urgently-needed aid. In addition, the two entities want to share know-how and develop best practices around the transport of special cargo for relief efforts. (ah)
