The North American transport group Hub leverages its fully GPS-equipped container fleet, railroad data and a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to constantly analyse the transit of freight.
To this end, it uses more than ten million data points to provide continuous, real-time arrival updates. As the industry’s first fully GPS-enabled fleet, Hub Group’s technology improves efficiency by allowing its customers to plan their shipments with great accuracy.
Inputs are continually updated based on transit events, truck speed, traffic and weather conditions, as well as other variables. (ben)
