                        Enhancing rail services in Europe
Swiss intermodal operator Hupac has added a new train service to its German network to connect Dörpen in northern German with Duisburg and Ludwigshafen. The shuttle operates three roundtrips per week and offers onward links to Italy and Southeast Europe.
From Duisburg there are seamless connections to Vienna, Budapest, Ploiesti Panceva, Stara Zagora and Halkali. From Ludwigshafen there are links to Busto Pomezia and Bari. The Dörpen-Duisburg-Ludwigshafen-route reduces the CO2 emission by 0,7 t compared to road haulage.
The train operates from Dörpen to Duisburg and Ludwigshafen every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in the opposite direction. (ben)
