EP Trans testing first H2 truck

The German transport company EP Trans is acquiring two trucks with hydrogen engines. The haulage company, which has around 300 of its own trucks in daily operation in Europe, is the first to sign a purchase agreement for two zero-emission H2 vehicles from hydrogen specialist Keyou in Germany.

The prototype - a Mercedes Benz Actros with a built-in H2 hydrogen engine from Keyou - is still doing its rounds on a test site. The testing agency TÜV Süd has already issued an individual operating permit for road traffic. The first H2 trucks are therefore expected to be used for everyday operations at EP Trans and other pioneering customers as from Q4/2023. (ben)
