Eurasian intermodal service introduced

Russian transport group Fesco is launching a regular intermodal container service from countries of the Asia-Pacific region to ports in Europe via Vladivostok and Kaliningrad (both Russia).

The offer includes marine shipment by regular Fesco lines from the Asia-Pacific region to the commercial port of Vladivostok, then by regular train to Kaliningrad. After that, the containers will be loaded onto vessels at the terminal of the Baltic Stevedoring Company (BSC) and shipped to ports in Europe.

The service will operate two to four times per month with an estimated transit time of 36 days. The first train, dispatched on 6 December 2021, is now en route to Kaliningrad. (ben)
