Eurogate acquires Deisser group
Eurogate intermodal (Egim) has acquired the Stuttgart-based Deisser group, a provider of first and last-mile container transport in the Neckar region. Effective retroactively from 1 January 2025, the acquisition aims to strengthen Egim’s position in combined rail and road transport and enhance service reliability amid volatile conditions.
Founded 25 years ago, the Deisser Group brings decades of logistics expertise to the Egim network. It will continue to operate independently under its existing name, with founder Eugen Deisser remaining as managing director. All employees will be retained and current contracts upheld. Egim sees this move as a strategic step toward its own trucking assets, aligning with its quality-first approach. (js)
