Europa Road launches UK-Portugal freight service
Europa Road, part of Europa Worldwide Group, has launched Europe's first daily round-trip freight service between the UK and Portugal, strengthening its market leadership. Partnering with Porto-based XBS, Europa offers daily schedules with a range of transport options, from groupage to full loads, focusing on efficiency and reliability. The Dartford-based transit hub handles over 40,000 consignments monthly, supporting seamless door-to-door delivery across 42 European hubs.
UK exports to Portugal are growing, valued at GBP 4 billion by mid-2025, with increasing demand for faster, more flexible logistics. Europa's investment in advanced systems and customs support ensures smooth trade, complemented by its pioneering Europa Flow DDP service, which provides reliable routes amid Brexit-era complexities. The new service aims to strengthen trade links, reduce transit times and improve visibility for UK customers, further cementing Europa's position as a key European logistics provider.
