EVE Energy and Green Whale unite for marine batteries
EVE Energy has formed a strategic partnership with Green Whale Technology (GWT) to enhance marine electrification through high-performance battery energy storage solutions (BESS) globally. Combining EVE's advanced lithium marine battery technology with GWT's marine engineering expertise, the collaboration aims to make marine energy storage systems more affordable, reliable, and safer. Notably, the companies have delivered Asia's first BV-classed marine battery container in record time.
The new BESS features EVE's active balancing technology, offering an impressive 15-year lifespan, surpassing current market options. While NMC cell systems have dominated, EVE is the only supplier of 3C continuous LFP marine batteries, which offer longer durability. Additionally, GWT is establishing a Europe-based cloud service platform to ensure data compliance and security. With production costs under USD 300 per kWh, this partnership signifies a significant advancement in the marine battery market, supported by enhanced lifecycle services for customers.
