Expanded operations in Philadelphia

The Container Port Group (CPG), a US trucking carrier that specialises in drayage solutions, has expanded its footprint on the east coast by adding freight capacities. The measure follows on from increasing demand for trucking capacity throughout the northeast of the country, particularly in Philadelphia PA.

The forwarder has already expanded its presence in other ports recently, including New York/New Jersey, Norfolk and Baltimore, amongst others, and now it said that broadening its footprint to include Philadelphia was a next logical step.

Besides adding freight capacity the company has also brought in several veteran owner-operators with a variety of endorsements, and a fleet of private chassis to help support operations.

Furthermore, CPG also recently opened a new terminal in Jacksonville, to accommodate growing demand in the southeast of the country. (ben)
