Expanding in French overseas territories

The French Balguerie Group is set to take over Bolloré Logistics’ operations in various locations in the Caribbean and Polynesia. These activities must be purchased from CMA CGM.

After a competitive bidding process in line with European and Polynesian regulations, Balguerie Group and CMA CGM signed an exclusive purchase agreement to this effect. The transaction is subject to internal consultations and further details will follow once the decision has been taken.

The deal would include Bolloré Logistics’ activities in Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint-Martin, French Guyana, and Polynesia. With access to these French overseas territories, Balguerie Group can strengthen its market position and leverage existing expertise in these markets.

The company has been operating for more than 90 years and has built up a network of 40 locations, mostly specialising in logistics services involving all modes of transport. (mk)
