Expeditors getting far
Global logistics company Expeditors, which is headquartered in Seattle/Washington, has reported its Q3/2021 financial results. Revenues jumped up by 84% to USD 4.3 billion compared to the same period in 2020 (USD 2.3 billion).
Operating income increased by 94% to USD 490 million (Q3/2020: USD 251.9 million). While airfreight services revenue surged significantly to USD 1.6 billion, up from USD 983.2 million in 2020, ocean freight grew even further to USD 1.6 billion in Q3/2021, from USD 609.8 million in Q3/2020.
Airfreight tonnage volume and ocean container volume went up by 28% and 15% compared to the same period in 2020, respectively. (sh)
