Fashion logistics upgrade
The Italian fashion retailer OVS has partnered with TGW Logistics for its omni-channel fulfilment capabilities.
TGW has implemented its 'FlashPick' goods-to-person system at OVS’s Pontenure distribution centre, enabling processing of up to 100,000 items daily for store replenishment, e-commerce, and marketplace orders. The solution includes a six-aisle shuttle warehouse, 'PickCenter' workstations, and 'KingDrive' conveyors. TGW also provides software for load carrier flow and warehouse control.
TGW Italy managing director Matteo Righini said that "we're now optimally organised to meet the demands of omni-channel retail, thanks to the 'FlashPick' system, and can efficiently align store deliveries with online commerce." (js)
