FedEx expands India's export capability

On 3 December 2025 FedEx inaugurated a 6,000 sqm integrated air hub at AI-SATS logistics park, Kempegowda international airport, Bengaluru, enhancing logistics for health care, maintenance and manufacturing sectors. This strategic expansion aligns with the airport's plans to nearly double its annual freight capacity to 1 m metric t, solidifying Bengaluru's role as a key export gateway amidst India's growing manufacturing landscape.

The new hub improves logistics by consolidating import and export handling with advanced automation, including mechanised conveyors and a high-speed DIM machine for dynamic dimensioning. With bonded customs capabilities and efficient connections to upcountry and city-side locations, the facility aims to facilitate faster handling of time-sensitive shipments. FedEx's investment in this hub reinforces its commitment to supporting India's export growth and enhancing supply chain resilience across high-value industries.
