FedEx launches its first Taiwan–Korea flights
FedEx has launched its first direct cargo flight between Taiwan and South Korea, strengthening intra-Asian trade and enhancing capacity for time-sensitive shipments.
The new service operates daily between Taoyuan airport and FedEx's Incheon gateway (pictured), linking two of Asia’s top tech economies. It supports rising volumes of high-value freight, especially semiconductors and electronics, and offers exporters in both markets greater flexibility and network reliability.
"This direct flight marks a new milestone in our regional strategy," said Paul Sousa, managing director at FedEx Taiwan. According to Taiwan’s ministry of economic affairs, South Korea’s share of semi-conductor exports to Taiwan more than doubled from 2020 to 2024.
The new route joins recent FedEx expansions from Singapore to Anchorage and reinforces the company’s commitment to building agile, connected supply chains all across Asia and beyond. (ah)
