Felix Schoeller and Nosta’s electric drive
Felix Schoeller and the Nosta Group are celebrating one year of their fully-electric lorry shuttle project between Weissenborn and Siebenlehn.
Since spring 2024 three Volvo electric trucks have covered nearly 150,000 km, saving more than 180 t of CO₂ emissions and around 70,000 l of diesel according to Jörg Prochaska (pictured right), regional manager for business development and head of Nosta’s branch in Siebenlehn.
The project, expected to run until 2029, supports Felix Schoeller’s sustainability strategy, by reducing air pollution and noise emissions among others.
According to Prochaska drivers praised the smooth acceleration and quiet ride of the trucks. Despite initial concerns, winter energy consumption rose by less than 10%. (js)
