Fewer emissions on the Brenner route
TX Logistik’s (TXL) combined transport services helped the South Tyrolean transport and logistics company Fercam to save 14,000 t of CO₂ on the Brenner axis last year. TXL, a subsidiary of Mercitalia (part of the FS Italiana Group) has been carrying out rail transports for Fercam and other intermodal transport providers for years.
Fercam shifted more than 12,000 loading units from road to rail on the Brenner axis for TXL in 2021, thus reducing its CO₂ footprint. The CO₂ footprint (carbon footprint) is calculated using the Ecotransit method according to DIN En 16258.
Fercam operates in 21 countries with more than 100 branches and generated a turnover of EUR 943 million in 2021 (ben)
