Finnlines adds Polish port to North Sea rotation
From week 26, Finnlines will include the port of Gdynia in its weekly North Sea service, enhancing connections between Poland and key European markets such as Belgium, France, the UK, Spain and Finland.
The service uses three 'Finneco'-class hybrid ro-ro vessels, suitable for diverse cargo, including oversized and breakbulk consignments.
The move aims to offer a cost-effective intermodal alternative to road transport and connects Poland directly to Grimaldi's global network. Finnlines is also deploying 80 ft mafi trailers with embedded rails to ease the transport of trains and other special cargo. The company highlights sustainability, offering CO₂ reductions of up to 90% via its 'Green Lane' option. (ah)
