First 100-wagon boxtrain from Moscow

RZD Logistics, in collaboration with Russian Railways (RZD) and logistics partner Transit, has dispatched its first 100-wagon container train from the Southern Port terminal logistics centre in Moscow. The train, which includes over 100 40 ft containers, is en route to Khabarovsk with an expected transit time of ten days.

It carries a mix of consumer goods, building materials, and chilled meat products in reefer containers. As the first extra-long train to depart from this terminal, the service benefits from a dedicated schedule approved by RZD, ensuring predictable delivery times. RZD Logistics says further 100-wagon departures to Irkutsk and Ussuriysk are scheduled, with the next train bound for Irkutsk at the end of May. (ah)
