First container for Biontech vaccine in Budapest
Danish company Titan Containers has announced that its first "Titan Ultrafreezer 2020 Covid-19 vaccine storage container" has been delivered to a Hungarian customer.
The container is located at a facility near to Budapest Airport ensuring cold chain security between arriving flights and the distribution centre. Hungary is using various Covid-19 vaccines and Titan has delivered several "Arctic store" units for temperature controlled vaccine storage at all temperatures.
Just the other day, the Hungarian prime minister visited its other Covid-19 vaccine logistics centre, since Titan's "Ultrafreezers" have been developed to meet the requirement of ultra-cold temperatures especially for the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine.
The "Arctic stores", on the other hand, are suitable for all other vaccines from Oxford Astra Zeneca, Moderna, Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, Sputnik V and Covishield, which require only standard frozen or chilled temperatures. (sh)
