First GSSA to earn Iata Ceiv Pharma certification
Amsterdam-based Kales Airline Services has become the first general sales and service agent (GSSA) worldwide to receive Iata’s Ceiv Pharma certification.
The accreditation covers its operations in Italy, Belgium and Switzerland, setting a new benchmark in temperature-sensitive pharma logistics. CEO Sebastiaan Scholte (left, together with Brendan Sullivan, Iata's global head of cargo) highlighted the growing demand for certified pharma handling and the importance of expertise and mindset alongside compliance.
The Iata Ceiv Pharma programme ensures adherence to global standards such as GDP and WHO guidelines. Kales’ certification confirms its readiness to meet the pharmaceutical sector’s rising quality and safety expectations while strengthening its leadership in specialised air cargo services. (ah
