Five for Japan

DHL Supply Chain has opened five new logistics centres in Japan to support its operations for GE Healthcare Japan, a medical technology, pharmaceutical diagnostics and digital solutions firm. The new hubs are located in Kawasaki, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

The distribution centre in Kawasaki provides 24/7 services, including distribution and regulatory compliance, call-centre operations, imports and reverse returns management.

The 5,000 sqm facility is the biggest of the five sites, processing in excess of 600,000 orders per annum. Alfred Goh, DHL Supply Chain’s president, representative director and CEO for Japan and Korea, said that “DHL already provides logistics services to GE Healthcare at 13 sites in ten countries.”
