Flying paper from Ancona to Athens
Airnautic Italia, which won the tender launched by Cartiere Fedrigoni to send 84 t of paper bank destined for the Greek central bank, recently chartered a Magma Aviation B747-400F on the route between Ancona and Athens.
The load was put onto 28 pallets and loaded on board the aircraft in about four hours so that the plane could depart perfectly on time at 09.00 in order to land by 12.00 as expressly required by the Bank of Greece in order to manage the logistics at the destination.
Due to the sensitive nature of the goods and the tight timetable, Airnautic Italia and its partner Chapman Freeborn ensured the option of using two B747F based on HHN for this operation as an alternative to protect the customer from possible penalties in case of delays. (ah)
