Frankfurt airport strengthens life science logistics


Frankfurt airport has joined Pharma.Aero, enhancing the organisation's expertise to support reliable supply chains for life-saving healthcare products. Operated by Fraport, Frankfurt airport is a globally recognised airfreight hub with specialised capabilities for handling temperature-sensitive products.

As Europe's leading PharmaHub, the airport aims to tackle complex industry challenges and improve collaboration within global healthcare logistics through its partnership with Pharma.Aero. Denis de Farias Duarte, vice president of cargo development at Fraport, emphasised the commitment to high-quality handling of pharmaceutical products.

Pharma.Aero unites life sciences and MedTech manufacturers with logistics providers, enabling end-to-end collaboration across air, sea, land and digital platforms. Secretary general Frank Van Gelder highlighted the significance of Frankfurt airport's involvement in fostering innovation and best practices, reinforcing the community's efforts in advancing healthcare logistics.
