Freight JV in Tajikistan
AD Ports Group has signed a shareholder agreement with Tajikistan-based Avesto Group to establish a new joint venture company focused on integrated logistics and freight forwarding services. Headquartered in Tajikistan, the venture will initially operate as an asset-light freight forwarder and support Avesto Group's cargo flows.
In its first phase, the joint venture will hold exclusive rights to consolidate and manage the cargo and logistics activities of Avesto Group’s subsidiaries, while also offering services to third-party customers. Avesto Group operates more than 30 industrial businesses and manufacturing facilities across multiple sectors and maintains partnerships with several international joint venture partners.
AD Ports Group will hold a 51% majority stake in the new company, with Avesto Group owning the remaining 49%. "Partnering with a global leader like AD Ports Group allows us to transform Tajikistan’s logistics landscape," said Muhamad Mirzo, General Director of Avesto Group.
