From Germany to Hungary in one round trip per day

With effect from January 2020, Eurogate Intermodal (EGIM) will offer up to seven round-trip departures per week between German seaports and Budapest in Hungary. Of these, four round trips per week will run directly between Germany and Hungary and three connections per week will be handled by EGIM via its Munich hub.

For the first time, Budapest will now be also connected to Melzo/Milan (Italy), which in turn provides a link to Ligurian ports. For the latest expansion, the provider of international intermodal container transports that is headquartered in Hamburg will cooperate with its traction partner Floyd, a Budapest-based railway company in which it holds a majority interest of 64%.
