From HGK Shipping to HGK AG
The supervisory board of HGK AG has initiated the appointment of Steffen Bauer as future CEO, following Uwe Wedig’s planned retirement on 30 September 2025.
Bauer, currently CEO of HGK Shipping, is set to lead the Cologne-based transport and logistics group, which operates terminals, rail networks, ports and inland shipping in the Rhine region. The board praised his leadership credentials and sectoral experience. Bauer’s appointment is expected to be formalised soon, following internal and shareholder consultations.
At the same meeting, Susana dos Santos Herrmann stepped down as chair of the supervisory board. Vice-chair Dirk Michel will chair the body on an interim basis. (ah)
